For decades, a mainstay of the Brisbane jazz and blues scene, singer-songwriter David Bentley combines elements of both genres into this 51-minute set of ten original compositions plus a funky re-working of Mose Allison's 'Everybody's Cryin' Mercy'.

EVERYDAY SONGS

The album represents the work of many talented musicians who helped me create it. Not least of these is my cellist daughter Danielle who put together the various string sections. Nor would it have been the same without bassist Andrew Shaw and drummer Kerry Jacobson who comprise the other two thirds of my regular trio lineup.
