Cool trio spiced with hot sax make for a spicy bouillabaisse. David Bentley (piano, vocals), Andrew Shaw (bass) and Nathan Goldman (drums) make up the trio. Mark Spencer adds soaring tenor to the mix. It’s a swinging, spirited and multi-faceted lineup performing David’s originals, timeless standards, quirky blues and New Orleans grooves.

As a songwriter, David is internationally known as the author of rock classic In A Broken Dream. Originally a success for the legendary Python Lee Jackson, his song recently ascended the charts yet again – this time for Harlem rapper Rocky A$ap’s remix, retitled Every Day.

On The Record is vinyl LP comprising DB3+1 tracks recorded live over an 11 year span. Given the wealth of material, many deserving tracks had to be omitted for want of space.
